The new computer generated graphics anime movie by Imagi Studios based in Ozamu Tezuka’s most popular manga, Astro Boy, have a trailer and it’s on youtube in stream, here’s the video.

This movie is going to be released in America on October 23 2009.

Imagi Studios are the animators of TMNT most recent feature film.

It was reported by Moon Phase that Gonzo might be in the plans of a new Anime production based in Saki Manga by Ritz Kobayashi, about a girl with exceptional skills playing Mahjong.

Production and distribution company Pony Canyon has already purchased the domain saki-anime.com but there’s nothing there yet.

Those big eyes we see in anime make the girls look cute and innocent.

And there’s no doubt that this beauty standard is becoming more popular outside japan, because this has made good in DIGG.

IGN.com has a couple of new pictures from the Dragon Ball’s movie. It seems that these pictures are screenshots from the finished work.

They look better than ever before, but still I think they are not the great they should be.

What I wonder now is why in this tracklist the name of the B-side is different in the regular version and the instrumental version, I guess it sounds the same and there’s no official romaji for that.

Strike Witches Episode 2 Review (Spoiler)

There were some thing I was expecting from this episode but weren’t there, one of them would be more participation of the other Strike Witches that were waiting in Britania, but I think there will be plenty of time for that.

This episode starts in the battle against the Neuroi that appeared in the last episode and probes to be a though one, and a problem to Sakamoto, who tells Yoshika to stay onboard.

As expected, in the middle of the battle Yoshika hears the call that every heroes feel while seeing their armors shining under the sunlight (but this armor is a Striker), so she decides to be part of this battle.

It takes less than a couple of minutes to control the Striker to reach Sakamoto and after stopping a Neuroi attack with her magic power, the sub-commander decides the plan to kill the enemy.

Few minutes later Yoshika is maneuvering in the air like an expert and both together defeat the Neuroi.

What I didn’t see to come (I don’t know why) was a jealous scene by Perrine after seeing her sub-commander bringing an unconscious stranger in arms.

Later, in front of her father’s tombstone she decides to join the Strike Witches.

Yesterday was released the English scanlation for this first chapter too by Sleepy Fans Scanlations.

This manga tells the story of Mashiro Moritaka a boy who has a great artistic talent for drawing, and has an uncle who used to be a not very successful mangaka, maybe because of that and the fact that being able of make a live of her artist skills is that he doesn’t want to become a mangaka, instead of it he plans to live a normal life with an office job. In fact, he doesn’t know what he will do with his live.

One day, a class mate named Takagi Akito who has the best grades in the school and the country notices the Mashiro’s talent and ask him to make a manga together but Mashiro refuses. Takagi is very confident in his writing skills and dream with becoming a Mangaka, but the young draftsman cares a lot about the few chances of becoming a successful mangaka.

The plot is completely different to Death Note, and they even mention Death Note manga at least twice in this chapter. The writer/drawer combination looked to me like a the Ohba/Obata one, the ones who write and draw this and Death Note mangas.

I’ll be waiting for the nest chapter that hopefully become available next week.
